Summary

Clinical Skills and Simulation EducationTo support the delivery of Clinical Skills for the University of Buckingham Medical students. This requires organising, facilitating, providing equipment for and teaching the students to support their simulation and skills requirements for Phase 2 of their Medical Education which consists of ten hospital-based clinical blocks. Verifying the students and assessing their competencies in the 32 GMC Practical Procedures, ensuring documentation is appropriately completed and stored on the database developed by the department. Simulation Service ManagementTo be responsible for ensuring the regular maintenance of the clinical skills training equipment owned by the department.To be responsible for ensuring the ordering stock control of consumables necessary for the delivery of this type of training, for both the Trust and medical student sessions per year. Team Leadership and Collaborative WorkingTo ensure that they are up to date with any new developments, recommendations or guidelines and are competent in the skills that they are expected to provide.To act at all times in a professional manner in accordance with the NMC/MMC Code of Professional Conduct Service Development, Quality and ImprovementResearch and source new equipment & procedures Contribute to the development and maintenance of the Simulation page on the Milton Keynes intranet site.
