We are seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our dynamic and accredited Liaison Psychiatry Service. The post holderwillprovidespecialistmentalhealthassessmentsacrosstheEmergencyDepartmentandacutehospital,supportingpatientspresentingwithself-harm,suicidality,behaviouraldisturbance,psychologicaldistressandothercomplexmentalhealthneeds.

Youwillundertakecomprehensivebiopsychosocialandriskassessments,coordinatecareplans,provideexpertadvicetopatients,carersandclinicalteams,andactasanautonomouspractitionerwithinthemultidisciplinaryteam.

Workingcloselywithnursing,medicalandalliedhealthprofessionals,youwillprovideclinicalleadership,contributetoservicedevelopment,supporteducationandtraining,andpromotebestpracticeinmentalhealthcareacrosstheTrust.

• Provideexpertspecialistnursingassessment,adviceandsupporttopatientspresentingwithcomplexmentalhealthneedswithintheacutehospitalsetting.

• Undertakecomprehensivebiopsychosocial,mentalhealthandriskassessments,developingandcoordinatingappropriatecareplans.

• Actasanautonomouspractitioner,providingspecialistadviceandguidancetopatients,carers,wardteamsandmultidisciplinarycolleagues.

• Leadontheassessmentandmanagementofpatientspresentingwithself-harm,suicidalideation,behaviouraldisturbance,cognitiveimpairmentandotheracutementalhealthpresentations.

• Workcollaborativelywithacute,community,socialcareandmentalhealthservicestoensureseamless,patient-centredcareandeffectivedischargeplanning.

• Provideleadership,supervisionandsupporttonursingstaffandcontributetotheprofessionaldevelopmentofthewidermultidisciplinaryteam.

• Participateinclinicalgovernance,audit,qualityimprovementandservicedevelopmentinitiativestoenhancepatientoutcomesandservicedelivery.
