We are currently seeking an experienced Panel Beater to join a reputable bodyshop in Crawley. Duties of the Panel Beater:

- Assess vehicle damage thoroughly, providing accurate repair estimates

- Dismantle vehicles, including removing panels, bumpers, lights, and trims

- Repair or replace damaged panels using hand tools, power tools, and welding techniques

- Straighten and align vehicle frames and chassis via hydraulic equipment and measuring systems

- Perform welding and metalwork to restore vehicle integrity

- Prepare surfaces for painting through sanding, filling, and priming, with some involvement in final paintwork

- Reassemble vehicles, carry out quality inspections, and ensure safety standards are maintained

- Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair progress

- Maintain a clean and safe workshop environment

Requirements of the Panel Beater:

- Proven experience as a Panel Beater within a busy bodyshop environment

- Knowledge of various repair techniques, including welding, panel straightening, and surface finishing

- Strong attention to detail and a dedication to quality workmanship

- Ability to work efficiently within a team

- Own tools are preferred but not essential; the workshop is equipped with suitable facilities

- Familiarity with health and safety standards relevant to vehicle repair
