Summary
Urgent!! My client is looking for experienced Care Assistants for waking night shifts!
You will be expected to hit the ground running and fit into the existing team of Carers in this lovely home. They cater for the Elderly and have a specialist unit for individuals with Dementia related Illnesses. Epilepsy Awareness is desirable but not essential. You will be assisting in the residents with their activities of daily living. You will do regular checks throughout the Night always ensuring their safety.
Key Responsibilities
• Assisting the residents with their personal care, ensuring their comfort and dignity is always maintained.
• Follow their residents individualised care plans using their bespoke reporting system to document their activities.
• Work effectively alongside the existing care team, completing night checks as per their care plans.
What We Are Looking For:-
• Previous experience in a Residential or Learning Difficulties care setting is essential due to the nature of their clientele.
• A kind and patient attitude to their care and highly motivated to assist them lead their best lives.
• Good communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and understanding.
• Be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
For this role, you must have;
- A minimum of 3 months experience in a Care environment
- A DBS dated within the last 6 months, registered on the update service or the facility to pay for one upfront
- All relevant mandatory training up-to-date and ideally certificates to show for this or we can assist you to access online training platforms.
- Referenceable work history covering the past 2 years

We have ongoing hours available and potentially a permanent role for the right candidates!
Shift times are:-
Nights – 2130 to 0730
Other shifts are available on request, especially bank holidays.
Rates of pay are £16.90 per hour. You will also accrue up to 28 days paid holiday per year.
