Summary

As a Police Officer in London, you will play a key role in protecting the public, preventing and detecting crime, and maintaining safety across one of the world's busiest and most diverse cities. You will be responsible for responding to emergency and non-emergency incidents, investigating offences, gathering and preserving evidence, interviewing victims, witnesses and suspects, and preparing reports and case files for criminal justice proceedings.

The role involves conducting high-visibility patrols, engaging with local communities, identifying and addressing community concerns, and working proactively to prevent crime and anti-social behaviour. You will support vulnerable people, provide reassurance to victims, and work alongside partner agencies to safeguard those at risk.

Police Officers are expected to exercise sound judgement, act with integrity, and make effective decisions in challenging and often fast-moving situations. The role requires excellent communication, problem-solving and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to work independently when required.

You will work a shift pattern that includes evenings, nights, weekends and public holidays, ensuring a policing presence whenever it is needed.
