Summary

The post is for an initial 12 month period with a potential to extend. Anaesthesia commitments will include theatre lists in paediatric cardiac surgery, cardiac MRI, TOE, interventional cardiac catheter lab lists and any list involving cardiac patients having non cardiac surgery including patients with adult congenital heart disease. PICU commitments include: the management of all admitted patients with aim of increased allocation in managing paediatric cardiac surgical and medical patients. Participation in the PICU and retrieval service on call rota Participation in teaching and clinical governance activity in both specialties is expected. Key Relationships Patients and their parents/families/carers on PICU and in theatre Clinical Staff on PICU and in theatre Other Consultant staff in ECH and GSTT Senior management team in ECH Clinical teams in DGHs in the South Thames region when on retrievals Main place of employment: The post will be based at the Evelina Childrens Hospital. However, it is a requirement of your employment that you be prepared to work at any additional or different location owned or served by the trust, either on an on-going or temporary basis according to the demands of the service
