Summary

Within all of the roles advertised at a band 6 level candidates are to demonstrate they are team members who perform as a senior, a specialist, or a junior manager and demonstrate greater autonomy, leadership, and complex decision-making. Opportunities in theatres include: CPD opportunities including post registration courses. Preceptorship opportunities supporting the diverse professions working within the operating theatre department. Supported induction and preceptorship programmes with skills and competency packages which are relevant to the specialist areas of operating theatre practice. SACH is the Surgical Centre for elective surgery and comprises of 8 theatres with the main specialities including Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, General, Urology, Gynaecology, ENT, Pain and Breast surgery. You will be fully supported upon joining WHTH and each new starter will be assigned a buddy to support them through a structured induction package. This includes a customised supernumerary period for all new starters which allows you to work and learn alongside experienced practitioners who will support you. There is a multitude of learning, training and development opportunities within WHTH. Supporting your continuous professional development is important to us.
