Summary

A great opportunity to work in healthcare, providing high standards of care and support to patients who have undergone cardiac and thoracic surgery.  Nursing Assistants are vital in supporting registered nurses in caring for patients post cardiothoracic surgery. This busy working environment also offers many opportunities for training, learning new skills and personal and professional development.

The Cardiothoracic Critical Care Unit has vacancies for a Band 2 Nursing Assistant to join this dynamic team and to work in an exciting environment.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who has the desire to care for our patients to the highest standards and to treat our patients with the respect and dignity.

You will work closely with the registered nurses to deliver high standards of nursing care. This will include:

Providing personal care

Communicating with patients and their relatives

Maintaining a safe and clean patient environment

Ensuring stock levels are maintained

We will provide you with an induction programme and support your education, development and training opportunities

Providing personal care

Assisting patient mobility where required

Assistant patients to maintain their nutritional and hydration needs as required

Communicating with patients and their relatives

Maintaining a safe and clean patient environment

Ensuring stock levels are maintained

Ensuring that equipment is clean and safely maintained
