Summary
Ferguson Transport & Shipping are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Mechanic to join the team, based in Corpach, Fort William. With the benefit of a modern, well equipped maintenance facility, the role involves diagnostics, repair and maintenance on our fleet of Volvo, Scania & MAN trucks, as well as 150 trailers and small plant.

About the role:
With the benefit of a modern, well equipped facility the role involves diagnostics, repair and maintneance on the company's fleet of:
- Mainly Volvo trucks, but also including Scania and MAN
- 150 trailers
- Small plant machinery, including tractor units, cranes, service vans, tug masters
The role would also be suitable to a qualified car mechanic who is looking to progress their career. Full training and support will be provided.
Main responsibilities:
- Inspecting and maintaining our fleet of vehicles and trailers
- Travelling to sites to deal with breakdowns
- Filling in paperwork and records as required for the role
- Carrying out repairs according to company procedures in a safe and responsible manner
- Maintaining workshop housekeeping
- Any responsibilities and tasks delegated by senior management

Salary details:
- Starting salary of £43,321.20 per annum
- On call bonus
- Weekend work available - all weekend work is paid at overtime rate
