Great teaching doesn't happen in isolation.
We're working with a well-established primary school in Stockport looking for an experienced KS2 Teacher to take responsibility for a Key Stage 2 class and become part of a collaborative teaching team.
You'll have the opportunity to bring your own personality and ideas into the classroom while working alongside colleagues who share planning, discuss what's working and support each other when pupils need something different.

You'll take responsibility for planning and delivering the KS2 curriculum, creating lessons that are engaging, appropriately challenging and accessible to pupils with different starting points.
You'll:
- Plan and deliver lessons across the KS2 curriculum.
- Adapt teaching for different abilities and additional learning needs.
- Assess progress and use what you learn to shape future teaching.
- Create clear routines and a positive classroom culture.
- Maintain high expectations for learning and behaviour.
- Work with teaching assistants to provide targeted support.
- Encourage pupils to become confident, curious and independent learners.
- Collaborate with other teachers on planning and resources.
- Build positive relationships with parents and carers.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school.
We're looking for a teacher who knows their way around a KS2 classroom and can combine strong teaching with positive relationships and effective behaviour management.
You'll need:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised qualification.
- At least two years' relevant KS2 teaching experience.
- Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum.
- Confidence differentiating learning effectively.
- Good classroom and behaviour-management skills.
- The ability to assess progress and identify where additional support is needed.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A collaborative approach to working with colleagues.
The position offers a competitive daily rate of £120-£180, depending on experience, alongside the opportunity to join an established primary school and become part of its wider teaching community.
