Summary

Deputy Home Manager – Children’s Residential Home

Salary: Up to £55,000 + Bonus Scheme

Hours: Full-time | 40 hours per week

 

Are you a dedicated and experienced professional looking for the next step in your career? Our client is seeking a Deputy Home Manager to support the leadership of a children’s residential home, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and high-quality environment for young people to thrive.

 

The Deputy Home Manager will play a key role in supporting the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home. This is an opportunity to shape young lives, lead a passionate team, and uphold the highest standards of care and compliance.

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • At least 3 years’ experience working in a children’s residential setting.

  • Level 3/4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or an equivalent qualification).

  • Proven experience in an Ofsted-regulated children’s home with a track record of achieving high inspection outcomes.

  • A strong understanding of the challenges and needs of children in residential care.

  • A compassionate, resilient, and motivated leader.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the leadership and management of the home, ensuring a warm and supportive environment for children and young people.

  • Support the Registered Manager in achieving Good or Outstanding ratings in Ofsted inspections.

  • Ensure the home meets all regulatory and safeguarding requirements.

  • Provide guidance, supervision, and training to staff, fostering a culture of growth and professional development.

  • Build strong relationships with young people, their families, and external professionals.

  • Support in developing and implementing care plans tailored to individual needs.
