Summary
Chef de Partie – Hospitality & Catering
Location: Wellington College, Duke's Ride, Crowthorne, Berkshire, RG45 7PU
Salary: £14.65 - £14.85 per hour + Excellent Benefits
Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only – 34 weeks
Hours: 40 hours per week
Working Pattern: 5 out of 7 days (including some weekend working)
Shift Times: Early 6:30am–3:00pm | Late 12:00pm–8:30pm
Enjoy school holiday periods off, including Christmas, Easter and half terms.

This is a varied opportunity for a Chef de Partie who enjoys working with fresh ingredients, producing food to a high standard and supporting
internal hospitality events, functions, VIP occasions and special events.
You’ll work alongside the Executive Head Chef and wider kitchen team, helping to deliver everything from high-quality daily catering to more refined hospitality and event menus. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in presentation, enjoys working to high standards and has an interest in
fine-dining style food and hospitality.
With a combination of day-to-day catering and event work, no two days will be exactly the same.

What You'll Do
- Prepare, cook and present high-quality food to agreed standards
- Support the delivery of
- Produce dishes with excellent presentation and attention to detail, with an interest in
- Assist with menu preparation and food production across daily catering and hospitality services
- Work closely with the Executive Head Chef and wider kitchen team to ensure smooth and successful services
- Prepare food for a range of events, ensuring quality, consistency and presentation are maintained
- Support the preparation and service of canapés, buffets, plated dishes and other hospitality offerings where required
- Ensure food is prepared safely and in line with dietary and allergen requirements
- Maintain excellent standards of food hygiene, kitchen cleanliness and health & safety
- Assist with stock control, deliveries, storage and ordering processes
- Contribute ideas to menus and hospitality offerings
- Support and work collaboratively with other members of the kitchen team
- Build positive relationships with colleagues, customers and school stakeholders
- Respond professionally to feedback, compliments, complaints and any areas for improvement

What You Bring:
Essential:
- Previous experience working as a
- Experience working with
- A passion for producing fresh, high-quality food
- Strong attention to detail, particularly around food presentation and consistency
- Ability to work effectively in a busy and varied kitchen environment
- Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, health & safety and allergen requirements
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow direction from senior chefs
- Basic Food Hygiene and Health & Safety knowledge/certificates
Chef de Partie or in a similar professional kitchen role

Desirable:
- Experience working within
- Experience working within an education or high-volume catering environment
- Experience preparing food for VIPs, private functions or corporate events
- Experience with plated service, canapés and formal hospitality
- Knowledge and experience of pastry
