Location: Stratford-upon-Avon and surrounding areas

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm (Term Time Only)

Your new company

Hays Education are working with schools across Stratford-upon-Avon and the surrounding areas and are looking to recruit dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with a range of additional needs. We can offer flexible work to suit your availability, with regular opportunities throughout the academic year.

Your new role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with a range of special educational needs, including Autism (ASC), SEMH, learning difficulties, communication needs, and complex needs. You will work closely with teaching staff to help pupils access learning, develop confidence, and reach their full potential.

Your responsibilities may include:

Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups

Assisting with learning activities inside and outside the classroom

Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement

Supporting pupils' social, emotional, and educational development

Helping create a safe and inclusive learning environment

Supporting personal care where required

What you'll need to succeed

Experience working with children, young people, or adults with additional needs

Backgrounds in education, care, support work, residential care, youth work, or similar are welcomed

A patient, resilient, and caring approach

Strong communication and teamwork skills

A genuine passion for supporting pupils with SEN
