You will be joining a highly respected and innovative organisation within the creative and media sector, renowned for delivering world-class productions and operating within a fast-paced, project-driven environment.Due to continued growth and evolving finance requirements, the business is looking to appoint a Finance Officer on an initial 12-month fixed-term contract, with strong potential for extension or a longer-term opportunity for the right individual.This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative finance team where you'll play a key role in maintaining robust financial controls and supporting the day-to-day operation of a busy finance function.Your new role

Reporting into the Finance Manager, you will take ownership of the Accounts Payable function and become a key member of the finance team.This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys taking responsibility, solving problems independently and ensuring financial processes operate efficiently within a busy and evolving organisation.Your responsibilities will include:

Managing the end-to-end accounts payable process

Processing supplier invoices accurately and efficiently

Managing purchase orders and approval workflows

Monitoring invoice queues and payment allocations

Preparing and processing supplier payment runs

Reconciling supplier statements and investigating discrepancies

Resolving supplier and stakeholder queries

Chasing internal stakeholders for invoice approvals and supporting documentation

Maintaining accurate financial records and controls

Supporting month-end activities including reconciliations and journal preparation

Assisting with wider finance projects and process improvements

Working closely with finance and operational stakeholders across the business

What you'll need to succeed

Strong experience within an Accounts Payable, Purchase Ledger or Finance Officer position

Previous responsibility for managing supplier invoice workflows from start to finish

Ability to work independently and take ownership of processes

Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

Experience managing stakeholder relationships and resolving queries

Confident communication skills with the ability to challenge where required

Strong Excel and financial systems skills

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and changing environment

Desirable

SAP experience

Experience supporting month-end processes

Journal posting experience

Bank reconciliation experience

Exposure to wider transactional finance activities
