Summary

SEN Teaching Assistants - Secondary Girls' School (East London)

HAYS Education is recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to work within a specialist secondary girls' school supporting pupils with a range of complex additional needs.

The role will include:

Supporting secondary-aged pupils with SEN and complex needs

Providing 1:1 and small-group support within the classroom

Assisting pupils with learning, communication, independence and engagement

Providing personal care where required

Supporting pupils with mobility and manual handling

Working closely with teachers, therapists and the wider SEN team

Maintaining a safe, positive and supportive learning environment

Essential requirements:

Degree educated

Previous experience supporting children, young people or adults with SEN is desirable

Comfortable providing personal care

Willing and able to undertake manual handling

Patient, resilient and confident working with pupils with complex needs

A genuine interest in developing a career within SEN education
