Summary
Nursery Practitioner – Level 3
Up to £31,000 per year | 40 Hours per Week | All Year Round
For children, learning can happen anywhere – building confidence during an outdoor adventure, investigating something they've discovered in nature or becoming completely absorbed in imaginative play.
This welcoming nursery provides a calm and nurturing environment where children are encouraged to follow their interests and develop a genuine curiosity about the world around them. Outdoor experiences are an important part of everyday nursery life, with spacious learning areas and Forest School opportunities giving children the freedom to explore, experiment and learn through hands-on experiences.
As a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner, you'll play an important role in creating these experiences, providing consistent and nurturing care while helping children build the confidence, independence and skills they need for the next stage of their development.
What We're Looking For
Full and relevant
Level 3 Early Years qualification or above.
Previous experience working within a nursery or early years setting.
Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.
Good knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
Enthusiasm for
outdoor learning and Forest School experiences.
Confidence planning engaging activities around children's individual interests.
A caring, patient and positive approach.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
A genuine passion for helping children develop a love of learning.

Your Role
Provide high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS framework.
Plan and deliver engaging experiences based around children's interests and developmental needs.
Encourage children to explore, investigate and develop their independence through play.
Make full use of the nursery's
outdoor learning spaces and Forest School experiences.
Support children's individual routines, wellbeing and emotional development.
Act as a Key Person, developing secure relationships with children and positive partnerships with families.
Observe and assess children's development and use this to plan appropriate next steps.
Help maintain a calm, welcoming and stimulating nursery environment.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide consistent, high-quality early years practice.
Maintain excellent standards of safeguarding, health and safety.
