Summary
Ready to develop a career in digital workforce systems?
Join our E-Rostering Team and play an important role in supporting the technology that helps ensure the right people are in the right place at the right time. Working with colleagues across the Trust, you will help maintain and improve our electronic rostering systems, provide support and training to users, and contribute to the delivery of safe, efficient, and effective staffing solutions.
This is a fantastic opportunity to develop valuable system administration, reporting, and customer support skills while making a direct contribution to patient care and service delivery
The E-rostering Team is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic HR Systems and Insight Administrator to support the ongoing delivery of electronic staff rostering.
This is a varied role in which you will undertake system administration, provide telephone and email support, one-to-one/small group training, and assist with the extraction, collation, and manipulation of data to produce reports. You will need to be able to work independently when required but the ability to work within a team is equally important.
The E-rostering team at QEH is a small and dynamic team. If this role appeals to you, and fits your profile, we would love to hear from you.
You will be given the opportunity to learn about all things E-Rostering and acquire accreditation as an assistant administrator of E-Rostering software.
There’s never been a more exciting time to join TeamQEH. We’re working on a once in a generation opportunity to build a new state-of-the-art hospital due to open in 2031/32 and we are also carrying out on one of the biggest pieces of digital transformation work we’ve ever undertaken.
Our new electronic patient record (EPR) will replace paper-based patient records from 2026 and will lead to better, safer, joined-up care at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital and beyond.
At The QEH we provide a comprehensive range of specialist, acute, obstetrics and community-based services to around 331,000 people across west and north Norfolk, North Cambs and South Lincs.
We are an ambitious organisation that upholds our values of kindness, wellness and fairness. We strive for continuous quality improvement, recently demonstrated in our 2024 CQC maternity inspection rating our services as ‘Good’, and we are proud to be a place to learn and grow through recognised learning and apprenticeships.
We recognise and reward our 4,000 staff and volunteers, priding ourselves on a community atmosphere and positive team spirit. We have approx. 530 beds across 33 wards and have newly built education and training facilities, a range of modern award-winning centres alongside a talented team of people ready to give you a warm welcome. We love working here and think you will too.
This role requires an individual with experience of providing service to customers. An aptitude for problem solving, great attention to detail and a considered approach is also needed. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are also essential.
You will be confident working with all staff across in a wide range of professional groups and demonstrate effective time management and interpersonal skills.
Ability to respond quickly to changing plans and be proactive is also important.
Excellent IT skills are required for this role, particularly Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office products. Experience of the Allocate Optima systems and ESR is advantageous, but not essential as training will be provided to the right candidate who can demonstrate aptitude.
