Summary

Are you ready to step up? Are you dynamic and committed? Do you have experience in burns and or wound care nursing?

 We currently have a vacancy for a band 5 Registered Children’s Nurse to join our dedicated and caring team within children’s outpatients who has completed their NHS preceptorship programme.

 Primarily working in Rainforest Outpatients, which sees approximately 250 patients a week within the specialities of Burns, Plastics, Spinal Surgery, Neurology, Neurosurgery and General Paediatrics and working closely with Daisy Ward; a 10 bedded burns unit including a 6 bedded Neurosurgical, Trauma and Burns High Dependency Unit. For burns we are the regional centre covering the entire south west of the U.K and also the regional Paediatric Major Trauma Centre. 

The successful candidates will:

• ·     Be able to demonstrate excellent inter-personal and communication skills

• ·   Have the ability to forge and maintain relationships with a variety of    clinical and non-clinical staff.

• ·     Have the ability to manage a busy workload and to prioritise, quickly find solutions and to focus on the important issues when decision making is essential. 

• ·       Have experience in burns and or wound care dressings

• ·       Be able to implement knowledge-based theory to practice.
