Summary

Healthcare Assistant (Home Care)

Salary: £15-£18ph 

Hours: Day Shifts - part-time or full-time hours are available 

Location: Community-based care with travel between locations (Reading, Burghfield, Earley and Mortimer) 

Requirements: Driving license and access to a vehicle

and experienced Healthcare Assistants to join their domiciliary care team. This role offers the chance to provide essential care to individuals in their own homes, ensuring dignity, respect, and high-quality support.

As a Healthcare Assistant in domiciliary care, you’ll deliver person-centred support to individuals in the comfort of their own homes. Working as part of a supportive and dedicated team, you’ll help residents maintain their independence and quality of life.

 

What we’re looking for?

  • Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care is

    desired but not essential (training provided) 

  • Valid driving license and access to a vehicle.

  • Previous experience in a care role.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A compassionate and empathetic approach to care.

  • Experience in domiciliary or community-based care.

  • Knowledge of medication administration protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Personal Care: Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring their comfort and dignity.

  • Meal Preparation: Support with preparing meals, taking into account dietary preferences and requirements.

  • Medication Administration: Assist with administering and recording medications in line with care plans and legal guidelines.

  • Companionship: Offer emotional support and companionship, building meaningful relationships with clients.

  • Travel Between Clients: Drive to various locations to deliver care, ensuring timely and professional service.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of care provided, ensuring compliance with regulations and policies.
