Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment.

You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £16 per year applies.

The OT role in Community Therapy is to assess peoples’ functional abilities (e.g. PADL, DADL, transfers /mobility) and look at both compensatory and rehabilitative approaches to a person’s care to enable them to meet their goals.  The work varies daily as therapy is provided in the hospital and allows the OT to really see how people are manging their activities of daily living and safely plan for discharge home

The Therapy Team at Lings Bar Hospital works across 3 x 24 bedded wards providing older adult rehabilitation and reablement care. There is a band 5 Physiotherapist, band 5 OT, Rehab Support Worker, Therapy Assistant and Activity Co-ordinator on each of the wards. A Band 6 OT and Physiotherapist provide senior support across the wards. The service is physical health for adults. We have a band 7 Therapy Team manager who manages Lings Bar Therapy Team

To provide Occupational Therapist assessments and treatment programmes to the frail and elderly population of Nottinghamshire. 

Actively participate in a wide ranging rotation, covering Acute Hospitals, Community Therapy, D2A and County Council working.

A full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use is required for this post; however reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.
