Computing Teacher, you will plan and deliver high-quality Computer Science and IT lessons across
KS3 and KS4 (GCSE).
Full Permanent Teacher Duties: Take full ownership of curriculum planning, practical coding demonstrations, ongoing student assessments, and parent-teacher consultations.
Hands-On Learning: Guide students safely and effectively through programming languages (such as Python), cybersecurity, computer systems, and digital literacy.
Positive Environment: Maintain a focused, structured classroom dynamic where equipment is respected and pupils feel confident solving complex technical problems.
Departmental Development: Contribute long-term to refining schemes of work, integrating new technology, and running extra-curricular coding or robotics clubs.
Candidate Profile
We are searching for an approachable, skilled
Computing Teacher with strong technical knowledge and excellent classroom leadership.
Must hold
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS.
Proven track record of working as a
Computing Teacher or Computer Science specialist within a UK secondary school setting.
Clear communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in an accessible manner.
Effective classroom management strategies grounded in positive encouragement and high expectations.
Holds an Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or a willingness to process one through Randstad).
