We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity to join our team at the Courtyard by Marriott - Luton Airport as a Sales Executive. This pivotal role will contribute directly to our continued growth and success by driving sales and developing strong group bookings.
The Role
As a Sales Executive, you will be at the heart of our sales operations, working closely with corporate clients, event organisers, and travel partners. Your expertise in building relationships and securing group business will help position our hotel as the preferred choice in the Luton area.
Key Responsibilities
Proactively identify and secure new group business opportunities, including conferences, events, and corporate bookings.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and key accounts to ensure repeat business.
Work collaboratively with the events and catering teams to coordinate group requirements and deliver seamless service.
Prepare detailed proposals, negotiate contracts, and close sales agreements effectively.
Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth.
Attend networking events and trade shows to represent the hotel and expand the client base.
Maintain accurate records of sales activity and provide regular reports to management.
Qualifications & Experience
Proven experience in a sales role within the catering & hospitality industry, preferably with a focus on group sales.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
Strong negotiation and closing skills.
Organised and able to manage multiple accounts and priorities efficiently.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
Self-motivated with a positive, friendly attitude and a passion for hospitality.
Knowledge of the Luton and surrounding areas would be advantageous.
