We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, experienced and well organised teacher to teach Media A level (Eduqas/WJEC). The successful candidate should have experience of using Adobe Creative Cloud (particularly Premiere Pro, Indesign and Photoshop) and film making. We welcome applications from teachers with ideas, enthusiasm, and a strong teaching ability, who can work within the diverse demands of the department whilst maintaining its recognised strengths and attributes.

The Media and Film department are a friendly, innovative and dynamic team, currently comprising of five teachers and a dedicated technician.  The department offers a BTEC in Creative Digital Media Production (Pearson) and A Levels in Media Studies and Film Studies (Eduqas). Teachers from the department also contribute to a wide range of portfolio or enrichment activities for all students at the college. These include BHASVIC TV and Film Club.  Media and Film teachers also regularly invite visiting speakers from within the industry to meet with students, and they also organise various media/film focused trips. At the end of each year the department organises an awards event to celebrate the best student work across all courses in the department. The teaching for most courses in the department is now mostly housed in our Elms Building, which includes a purpose-built green-screen studio and a dedicated edit suite.
