We are looking for a dedicated
Graduate Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
to join an inclusive secondary school in
Birmingham
. This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate who wants to gain meaningful experience working with students and is considering a future career in
teaching, SEN, educational psychology or another education-based profession.
The Role
As a Graduate LSA, you'll work closely with teachers and the school's wider support team to help students get the most from their education.
You'll provide tailored support to students with a range of additional needs, helping them to
access learning, develop their independence and grow in confidence.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing
1:1 and small-group support
to students with SEN
Helping pupils stay
focused, engaged and motivated
Supporting students with their
social, emotional and communication skills
Encouraging students to develop greater
confidence and independence
Students may have a range of additional needs, including
autism, ADHD and dyslexia.
Who are we looking for?
We're keen to hear from graduates who have:
A strong academic background, ideally a
2:1 degree or above
Patience, resilience and empathy
Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential.
Whether you've gained experience through tutoring, mentoring, volunteering, coaching or another setting, we'd love to hear from you. Most importantly, you'll need the
right attitude, compassion and enthusiasm
to make a positive difference.
