Day-to-Day Secondary Supply Teacher (QTS) - Plymouth
Are you a qualified teacher looking for a better work-life balance? Do you want the flexibility of classroom teaching without the burden of planning, marking, or data tracking? We are seeking reliable, energetic General Cover Teachers with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) to support local secondary schools across Plymouth on a day-to-day supply basis.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver pre-planned lessons across a variety of subjects in secondary school settings.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively to maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
- Ensure students remain on task and complete the work set by permanent teaching staff.
- Provide clear, professional handovers for returning subject teachers at the end of each school day.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential (ECTs/NQTs and experienced teachers are welcome).
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to adapt across different age groups (Key Stage 3 & 4).
- Demonstrated punctuality, professionalism, and a proactive, student-centred attitude.
- Possession of an enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or a willingness to apply for one.
