AWR up to £302.11 PAYE/ £358 Umbrella - Based on Pay Scale plus SEN Allowance

We are looking for an inspiring, resilient and compassionate Maths Teacher to join our partner school. The successful candidate will be passionate about making Mathematics accessible and meaningful for pupils with SEMH/ASD needs, creative in their approach to teaching and learning, and committed to helping pupils build confidence, close gaps in learning and achieve their full potential both academically and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated Mathematics lessons that meet the diverse needs and starting points of pupils with SEMH/ASD and associated learning needs.

• Create a positive, safe and structured classroom environment that promotes emotional regulation, resilience and confidence in Mathematics.

• Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and wider staff to provide a holistic and personalised approach to learning.

• Monitor and assess progress in Mathematics, identify gaps in learning, maintain accurate records and contribute to EHCP reviews and reports.

• Contribute to the development of the Mathematics curriculum and the wider life of the school, including enrichment activities that promote numeracy and problem-solving.

Key Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with the ability and subject knowledge to teach Mathematics; experience in secondary or special education settings is desirable.

• A genuine passion for Mathematics and for supporting pupils with SEMH/ASD needs, with the ability to build strong, trusting relationships.

• Strong Mathematics subject knowledge, excellent classroom management skills and a nurturing, trauma-informed approach.

• The ability to work flexibly as part of a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating empathy, patience, and resilience.

• Commitment to continuous professional development and a strong belief that every child can achieve and succeed.
