Pay Rate to Candidate: £389.63 – 491.70 per day PAYE (depending upon experience), with flexible holiday pay

Hours: 37 hours

Contract Length: 10 months

Location: 3 days per week office based - London/York/Peterborough

Security Clearance: BPSS

Interview Process: 2 stages: 1st interview: 20 minutes phone conversation and 2nd will be a Face to Face

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and coordinate a portfolio of high-profile electrical safety, engineering and technology change projects.

Working with a small specialist engineering team, you will drive delivery, governance and implementation across multiple workstreams, ensuring projects remain on track, financially controlled and clearly communicated.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead project planning, delivery, reporting and governance across multiple workstreams.

Support engineering teams with standards development and implementation.

Build and maintain time, cost and resource project plans.

Lead post-implementation reviews and efficiency assessments.

Provide regular project and financial reporting.

Track competence and implementation changes across regional teams.

Manage risks, queries, priorities and stakeholder communications.

Develop and maintain project workbooks, ensuring clear priorities and actions.

Coordinate with multiple engineering, operational and delivery teams.

Key Workstreams Include:

SAI25 & SAI750 implementation

SAI25000 development

Capital works

Remote securing implementation

Optimised earthing development

Electrical safety culture

Essential Experience

Proven experience delivering complex engineering and infrastructure projects.

Strong project management experience within a major rail/infrastructure environment.

Practical appreciation of 25kV OLE isolations.

Experience of procurement, efficiency governance and risk control frameworks.

Strong financial, commercial and project reporting skills.

Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.

Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams, priorities and technical stakeholders.

Strong understanding of standards implementation and engineering change.
