This is a day-based driving role involving local and longer-distance deliveries, with a minimum of 8 hours paid.About the companyThe employer is an established road haulage business based in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire. Its transport operations support a range of delivery requirements, including pallet distribution, part and full loads, time-critical consignments and managed transport services, using vehicles ranging from vans to heavy articulated lorries.Key responsibilities• Safely operate an HGV Class 2 vehicle on planned delivery routes• Complete local drops and longer-distance work• Carry out multi-drop deliveries, including routes with more than 10 drops• Load and unload goods using handball methods and a tail lift• Complete delivery paperwork and vehicle checks accurately• Maintain high standards of safety, customer service and vehicle care• Work additional hours when required and support overtime availabilitySkills and qualifications• Valid HGV Class 2 licence• Current Driver CPC qualification and digital tachograph card• Relevant professional driving experience• Experience with handball deliveries and tail-lift operations• Comfortable completing multi-drop work and local deliveries• Willingness to undertake long-distance driving when required• Reliable, organised and professional approach• Good communication skills and a strong focus on safetyBenefits• £17 per hour• Permanent employment opportunity• Days-based work• Minimum 8 hours paid• Paid every Wednesday• Overtime available• Opportunity to work with a local employerApply today.
