We're looking for a Cleaning Supervisor who will deliver excellent service standards, while meeting SLA agreements and managing a cleaning team across multiple client sites.

Role Purpose:
The Working Cleaning Supervisor will be responsible for the operational delivery, compliance, and performance management of cleaning services at the Hitachi Rail Stoke Gifford Depot. The role is based within a safety-critical rail environment and requires the ability to manage cleaning services in accordance with rail industry standards. The successful candidate will provide hands-on supervision, lead by example, and ensure all cleaning activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.
Role Responsibilities:
-Manage a cleaning team, including recruitment, scheduling, training, and development
-Deliver routine planned and periodic cleaning to a high standard
-Ensure staff follow task schedules and Health & Safety procedures
-Monitor cleanliness standards, distribute uniforms, and manage stock levels
-Handle issues professionally and escalate to line manager when needed
-Conduct regular cleaning audits across the depot to ensure cleaning standards are consistently maintained
-Manage and oversee the effective use of the Merlin Connect system, ensuring compliance with Mitie's proof of presence system for cleaning
-Train and supervise the cleaning team in the safe and effective use of scrubber dryers, pressure washers, and ride-on cleaning equipment
-Promote a strong safety culture by encouraging all team members to proactively identify and report hazards, near misses, and safety concerns within the rail working environment
-Act as the main on-site point of contact for Hitachi Rail Stoke Gifford, building and maintaining strong professional relationships with the customer
