About the Role

We are working with a Further Education college in South London to recruit a skilled and reliable Carpentry Technician to support the delivery of practical construction training.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Carpenter or Joiner who enjoys working in a workshop environment and wants to use their industry knowledge to support the next generation of tradespeople.

Prepare and maintain carpentry workshops, tools, equipment and materials for practical lessons.

Support lecturers during practical sessions, demonstrations and assessments.

Provide technical guidance to learners, helping them develop their practical skills safely and confidently.

Ensure workshops are organised, well-stocked and maintained to a high standard.

What we are looking for

Relevant industry experience in Carpentry and Joinery.

A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Carpentry and Joinery, or an equivalent trade qualification.

Good knowledge of carpentry tools, equipment, materials and workshop health and safety.

Strong communication skills and the ability to support learners and work effectively alongside teaching staff.
