Summary
Nursery Manager – Level 3+
Up to £40,000 per year | 40 Hours per Week
This welcoming nursery has created a home-from-home atmosphere, with age-specific rooms designed around children's changing needs as they grow. For older children, there is a strong focus on school readiness, helping them develop the independence, confidence and social skills that will support a positive transition into their next stage.
Outdoor learning is equally important. The nursery uses its outdoor spaces as an extension of the learning environment – somewhere children can investigate, get active, take part in new experiences and enjoy plenty of everyday adventures.
We’re looking for a strong and experienced Nursery Manager who can bring confident leadership to the setting, maintain high standards and create a positive culture for children, families and the nursery team.
What We’re Looking For
A
full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification or above
Proven Nursery Manager experience
A strong track record of successfully leading an Early Years setting
Excellent knowledge of the
EYFS, safeguarding and Ofsted requirements
Confidence leading, motivating and developing a nursery team
Experience maintaining and driving high standards of care and education
Strong understanding of children's development across different age groups
Experience supporting effective
school readiness and transitions
Confidence overseeing staffing, deployment, ratios and day-to-day operations
Strong organisational and decision-making skills
A visible, supportive and hands-on leadership style

Leading the Setting
Take overall responsibility for the successful day-to-day running of the nursery
Lead, motivate and develop practitioners across each age group
Maintain consistently high standards of Early Years care and education
Ensure the EYFS is embedded effectively throughout the setting
Support practitioners to create nurturing, engaging and age-appropriate environments
Ensure older children are given meaningful opportunities to develop
confidence, independence and school-readiness skills
Encourage teams to make creative use of the nursery's outdoor areas for learning, exploration and adventure
Oversee staffing, deployment, ratios and team performance
Maintain strong standards across safeguarding, health and safety, and regulatory compliance
Build positive partnerships with parents and families
Drive continuous improvement and ensure high-quality practice remains consistent across the nursery
