Higher Level Teaching Asst-English£28,041 to £29,560 per year pa inc London Weighting (pro rata'd to 36hpw, 38 wpy)Permanent - Full-timeA summary:We’re an ambitious bunch here at BDC; and we’re currently in the market for like-minded characters that are interested in breaking into the high-level learner support space. We have a number of brand-new opportunities across Higher Level Teaching support to join our team on a permanent basis at the Rush Green campus.You’ll operate at the heart of our commitment to inclusive education; HLTAs embody our learner-centric ethos in supporting success across GCSE English. You’ll play a pivotal role in nurturing and coaching learners to overcome barriers, particularly those with additional needs. You’ll have a natural ‘flair’ for collaboration, inclusivity and a thirst for growth in the Teaching Support space.

What we’ll need from you:GCSE or Level 2 English (or Equivalent) at Pass is essentialHLTA Status/equivalent level of education, or a willingness to work towards this pathway. Please note pass grades at GCSE English (or Level 2 Equivalent) are essential. A demonstrable background of continuous development in a professional or academic capacity – ideally in the Student Support space across Further Education – be it administrative or teaching-support related.The ability to influence change and cultivate meaningful, quality relationships with colleagues and leaners across the College.A communicative approach to tailored-learning with the ability to adapt to unique learner needs. We’re very much open to professional background. If you’re a Graduate seeking to explore your options, or a Teaching Assistant seeking to cultivate a specialist career path – we’re interested in getting to know you. Those with experience mentoring/supporting learners with SEN needs (including ADHD, Dyslexia and Autism) are of particular interest. Knowledge of/interest in Safeguarding, Child Protection procedures, assistive technology and inclusive teaching practices.
