Teaching Assistant

Pay Scale NJC 3 – 7 Actual Salary £19,496.43 - £20,759.9132.5 hours per week

39 weeks per year (Fixed Term until August 2027 initially)

We are looking for a teaching assistant who is:

• Hardworking, reliable and flexible

• Well organised and able to demonstrate initiative

• Good humoured and friendly, with good interpersonal skills

• Able to support pupils’ learning activities, including supporting those pupils with additional learning needs and development and maintain an awareness of the planning, delivery and evaluation of learning activities. • Good at establishing and maintaining relationships with individual pupils and groups of pupils, by using effective communication, and understanding the value of treating all individuals fairly. • Contribute to the management of pupil behaviour by encouraging positive behaviour in the classroom. • Willing to help with the care and support of pupils by supporting children’s communication and intellectual development and physical, emotional and social development. • Contribute to the health and well-being of pupils through the support of safeguarding for pupils by ensuring a safe environment, and following policies & procedures at all times. • Assist with the personal and intimate care of pupils. • To support children and young people with SEND, supporting them to actively participate in learning activities.
