Summary

Job Title: CNC Miller Setter

Job Type: Days based, Perm

Hours: 8.00am-4.30pm Monday to Thursday and from 8.00am-1.00pm on Fridays.

Location: Abingdon

Salary: £21 - £22 per hour (£40,404 - £42,328)

A skilled CNC Miller Setter is required for a major supplier to high-tech companies in the UK?s Oxford/Cambridge Arc of Innovation and Technology. Supplying to Nuclear fusion, Space Technologies, Medical innovation, F1 and many other demanding industries.

We are seeking a skilled candidate with experience of multi axis CNC Machining.

Your duties include:

CNC Machining, and setting

Operation of 3,4 & 5 axis CNC milling machines.

Performing CMM inspection and production of inspection reports when required.

Using initiative to improve quality/throughput etc o Working to scheduled lists

Operate within a 5's manufacturing environment and to ISO 9001 :2015 quality standards

EXPERIENCE:

Demonstrable experience of Fanuc controls or similar but not essential

Experience of working with a variety of materials to tight tolerances

Thorough experience of multi axis CNC machining

Use of inspection tools (able to perform 100% inspection) and CMM desirable

Thorough experience of reading & interpreting component drawings and instructions Working to high quality standards

Programming ? Advantageous

Qualifications

Engineering apprenticeship desirable

National Engineering Technical certificate

NVQ's or City and Guilds
