Shift Times: 07:45-20:15 (includes alternative weekends)

Senior Support Worker to join our dedicated team at
Orchard House where we provide high-quality residential care for older people living with dementia.

About the Role
As a Senior Support Worker, you'll support the Team Leader with the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring every resident receives compassionate, personalised care that promotes dignity, independence and choice.
A key responsibility of this role is the safe administration and management of medication, ensuring best practice and compliance with all policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities.
Deliver outstanding person-centred care tailored to each resident's individual needs, preferences and life history.
Promote best practice in dementia care, ensuring residents are treated with dignity, compassion and respect at all times.
Administer and manage medication safely and accurately in line with regulatory requirements.
Observe, monitor and respond to changes in residents' physical, emotional and cognitive wellbeing.
Develop positive relationships with residents, relatives, healthcare professionals and external agencies.
Contribute to care planning, risk assessments and accurate record keeping.
Act as a positive role model, promoting Shaw Healthcare's values and delivering excellent standards of care.
About You
You will need to have:
Previous experience working within a residential elderly care setting.
Experience supporting people living with dementia.
Confidence in administering medication and maintaining accurate records.
A QCF/NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or be working towards it)
Strong organisational skills and the ability to lead by example.
The ability to remain calm, professional and supportive in challenging situations.
