What You'll Do

As a Freelance BSL Interpreter, you will:

✔ Interpret between English and British Sign Language (BSL)

✔ Support communication within police, court, legal, custodial, and justice-related settings

✔ Ensure accurate, confidential, and impartial interpretation

✔ Maintain professional standards and ethical practice at all times

✔ Manage your availability and assignments through our interpreting platform

✔ Help service users access essential legal and public services

Who Are We Looking For?

We're seeking professional BSL Interpreters who have:

✔ Fluency in English and British Sign Language (BSL)

✔ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

✔ The right to work in the UK

✔ Registration with NRCPD, RBSLI, or an equivalent professional body

✔ Relevant BSL Interpreting Qualification (Level 6 or equivalent preferred)

Justice Sector Qualifications

Applicants should hold one or more of the following:

✔ DPSI Law (Full)

✔ Diploma in Community Interpreting – Police & Court Pathway

✔ DPI

✔ Met Police Test
