Summary

Our client is seeking an experienced

Section Engineer to join the team delivering works on the landmark

Old Oak Common HS2 Station project in West London. This is a fantastic opportunity to be involved in one of the UK's most significant rail infrastructure schemes, supporting the delivery of major rail and civils packages as part of the station and surrounding railway infrastructure works.

Working closely with the Project Team, you will take ownership of designated work packages, ensuring safe, efficient and high-quality delivery whilst coordinating engineering activities, subcontractors and site teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage sections of work from planning through to completion.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site teams.
  • Review and implement RAMS, ITPs and quality documentation.
  • Monitor programme progress and ensure works are delivered to schedule.
  • Manage technical queries, design coordination and site engineering activities.
  • Carry out quality inspections and ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Support commercial and planning functions where required.
  • Promote and maintain the highest standards of Health & Safety.

Requirements

  • Experience as a Site Engineer or Section Engineer within rail, civils or major infrastructure projects.
  • Previous experience on rail, bridges, structures, drainage, highways or heavy civils schemes.
  • Strong understanding of QA processes, site documentation and engineering controls.
  • Experience managing subcontractors and direct labour.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Degree, HNC or HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline preferred.
  • Valid CSCS Card.
  • PTS

Desirable

  • Experience working on Tier 1 projects.
  • HS2, station, rail civils or major infrastructure experience.
