Applications are invited for the post of Doctoral Training Programme Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Coordinator within the Royal Holloway Doctoral School.

The Royal Holloway Doctoral School is home to over 750 postgraduate researchers (PGR), across Masters by Research, MPhil/PhD, and Doctoral Clinical Psychology. We lead the AHRC Techne and ESRC SEDarc DTPs, AHRC DLA South Hub, EPSRC Cyber Security for the Everyday CDT, and BBSRC EngBio4GBP DFA, and are co-leads on EPSRC, BBSRC, NERC awards. Further, in 2024/25 we established a Royal Holloway Social Purpose CDT, supporting developing future research leaders.

As part of our RH2030s strategy, we are strengthening our profile as a centre for excellence in researcher development. This includes focusing on support successful completions for all, establishing a strong record of PGR training, building continued success in successful externally funded doctoral funding bids, and creating a culture of equity, accessibility, and inclusion. This position will support our ambitions.

The EDI Coordinator will join the Doctoral School, working with our externally funded doctoral training programmes (e.g., UKRI funded doctoral awards, Leverhulme) and with our Doctoral School to work across a range of equality strands, including gender identity, race, religion, disability and sexual orientation. They will support the design, development, and delivery of initiatives and objectives across our doctoral training programmes that instill a positive research culture and inclusion. They will work to develop, evaluate, deliver, and support wider EDI initiatives within the Doctoral School, and be a part of the Doctoral School Committee. Further, they will be a member of the Doctoral School Review group as we review our remit and provision, establishing a Doctoral School prepared for the 2030s, addressing PGRs, institutional, and sector needs. This role requires proactive cross-institutional engagement, including working on projects with academic staff and professional service.
