Summary

Provide administrative, analytical and project support to the senior Information Governance management team, contributing to the delivery of the Trusts IG work programme and assigned projects. Interpret and analyse complex information from a range of sources, using this to support effective governance, reporting and decision-making across the Trust. Support the completion and maintenance of Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), ensuring information is accurately recorded and available for review and approval. Monitor the IG departmental work programme and dashboard, ensuring actions and updates are completed within agreed timescales and highlighting areas of concern, risk or non-compliance to the Head of Information Governance. Support investigations relating to Information Governance incidents, Freedom of Information requests and Supportworks requests, providing appropriate cover for colleagues when required. Attend Information Governance Steering Groups, sub-committees and other relevant Trust meetings, preparing papers and reports on progress against agreed objectives where required. Act as a knowledgeable point of contact for staff and patients regarding Information Governance policies, procedures and processes, escalating complex matters appropriately. Assist with the development, review and implementation of IG policies, procedures, guidance and systems, identifying opportunities to improve existing processes. Maintain the Information Governance SharePoint library, ensuring documents are managed systematically and accurately, with appropriate version control. Work alongside IG colleagues to deliver the annual Information Governance audit programme, assessing staff compliance and awareness of relevant policies and procedures. Following IG incidents, risks or identified issues, support recommendations for improvements to policies, procedures, guidance and training. Support the Trusts Data Mapping Annual Work Programme, ensuring personal data flows are appropriately documented and risk assessed in line with established processes. Monitor outstanding data mapping activity, following up areas where information is incomplete or overdue and escalating non-compliance where necessary. Maintain accurate records of the Trusts Information Sharing Agreements, ensuring these are reflected within departmental data maps and remain current. Support the transition of appropriate Information Sharing Agreements to DPIAs, helping to document the revised process and obtain the necessary approvals. Assist with the management of the IG mailbox and Service Desk calls, responding professionally and promptly to queries from staff across the Trust. Plan and prioritise your workload effectively, balancing planned work programme deadlines with emerging priorities and unexpected requests. Proofread Information Governance papers, reports and other materials to ensure they are accurate, clear and suitable for publication. Build positive working relationships with colleagues at all levels across the Trust, contributing to effective team working through clear communication and constructive feedback. Undertake additional project and administrative duties appropriate to the role as required. You will be expected to: Maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and handle personal and sensitive information in accordance with relevant legislation, Trust policies and the Caldicott Principles. Comply with all relevant Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust policies, procedures and health and safety requirements.
