We are looking to recruit a Physiotherapy Assistant to join our friendly and supportive MSK Outpatient Physiotherapy team based in Lewes and Newhaven. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic, motivated and keen to develop their skills in a healthcare setting. You will work alongside experienced physiotherapists, supporting patients throughout their rehabilitation and helping them achieve their individual goals. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential,asyouwillbeworkingcloselywithpatientsandcolleagueseveryday.Ifyouenjoyhelpingpeople,areeagertolearn,andthriveaspartofateam,wewouldlovetohearfromyou.

This role involves working closely with physiotherapists and our Band 4 Technical Instructor to support patients throughout their rehabilitation following injury or surgery. You will work with individuals on a one-to-one basis and, as patients progress, support them in group exercise sessions within a gym or class environment. Full training will be provided, including a competency-based framework to develop your skills in exerciseprogressionandsupporttocompletetheTrustCareCertificate.Strongcommunicationskills,empathy,resilience,andtheabilitytoremaincalmandadaptableinchangingsituationsareessential,alongsideapositiveandproactiveapproachtonewchallenges.

The role also offers a varied workload, including providing administrative support, coordinating local ordering processes, liaising with clinical teams, and helping to maintain departmental supplies and equipment. You will support departmental health and safety activities, audits, and the smooth day-to-day running of the service. Ongoing local training and competency-based developmentopportunitieswillbeprovidedtohelpyoubuildtheknowledgeandskillsneededtosucceedintheroleandcontributeeffectivelytothewiderphysiotherapyteam.
