Summary
DC Personnel are recruiting for an experienced in the area of Leicester.
Location: Area of Leicester
Salary: £15.00–£16.00 per hour, (Depending on experience)
Hours: Monday – Friday • Full-time, permanent position
About the Role:
This is a hands-on production role within a busy signage manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, spraying and finishing a range of signage components and manufactured products to a high standard.
Previous experience in wet paint spraying is required ideally within signage, manufacturing, engineering, fabrication or a similar environment. The successful candidate will take pride in producing high-quality finishes while working efficiently to meet production requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, filling and masking.
• Mix and prepare paints, primers and coatings in accordance with job specifications.
• Apply wet paint using spray guns and associated equipment.
• Achieve an even, consistent and high-quality finish.
• Spray a range of materials and manufactured components.
• Check finished products for colour, coverage, consistency and quality.
• Identify imperfections and carry out remedial work where required.
• Follow job sheets, production instructions and customer specifications.
• Safely handle and move components throughout the preparation and spraying process.
• Maintain spray guns, equipment and other tools in good working condition.
• Report any equipment faults or issues.
• Keep the paint shop and surrounding production areas clean, organised and safe.
• Follow all company health and safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Work efficiently to meet production targets and deadlines.
• Work closely with the wider production team to ensure orders are completed on time.
Essential Experience:
• Previous experience as a Wet Paint Sprayer / Paint Sprayer.
• Good knowledge of surface preparation, paint application and finishing techniques.
• Experience using spray guns and associated equipment.
• Good attention to detail and pride in producing a quality finish.
• Ability to follow job specifications and production instructions accurately.
• Good understanding of workplace health and safety.
• Reliable, hardworking and organised.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work to production deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
Desirable Experience:
• Previous experience within the signage industry.
• Experience spraying aluminium, stainless steel, acrylic or other manufactured components.
• Experience with primers, paints, lacquers and specialist coatings.
• Experience with colour matching and achieving consistent finishes.
• Experience within fabrication, engineering or manufacturing.
• Experience with masking, preparation and remedial finishing.
