Job Description: Replacement Carer / Respite Personal Assistant
Location: Borth (Work to be undertaken at this address)
Hours: 8 hours per week, for carer replacement and respite cover
Rate of Pay: £14.00 per hour.
Working pattern: 10:30am to 2:30pm, days to be agreed with the family
About the Role
A family in Borth is looking for a reliable and caring replacement carer / Personal Assistant to support a lady in her home and out in the community. The role is to help her socialise, remain as independent as possible, and receive practical support with daily living tasks.
Main Duties
• Support the lady to socialise and access the local community.
• Provide companionship and encouragement during the agreed support hours.
• Assist with preparing or supporting her to have food and drinks, as needed.
• Provide appropriate support to use the bathroom, while maintaining dignity, privacy, and respect.
• Take a person-centred approach and follow the family’s guidance on routines, preferences, and any agreed care needs.
• Let the household dogs out into the garden and bring them back in, if required.
Pets in the Home
There is one collie and one dachshund in the home. Applicants must be comfortable around dogs and willing to let them into the garden and back inside when needed.
