Your New Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR Advisor to join a busy and collaborative HR team. This hands-on generalist role will provide practical HR guidance across the employee lifecycle, with responsibilities spanning employee relations, recruitment, performance management, HR analytics, payroll, benefits and training.You will also support a variety of HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives across the wider people function.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide practical advice to managers on employee relations matters, including performance, absence management, occupational health referrals and family-friendly policies.
  • Support performance management processes, including probation reviews, objective setting and performance improvement plans.
  • Coordinate end-to-end recruitment, working with agencies, posting adverts and supporting onboarding and inductions.
  • Produce documentation for promotions, salary increases, job title changes and other employee lifecycle updates.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly HR reports covering headcount, turnover, recruitment costs, remuneration and other key people metrics.
  • Support payroll and benefits administration, including employee changes, invoices, pension letters and record updates.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, HR systems, organisation charts and internal HR pages.
  • Coordinate internal and external training, including bookings, invitations, attendance and qualification records.
  • Review and update HR policies, job descriptions and supporting documentation.
  • Monitor the HR inbox and ensure employees and managers receive prompt and effective support.
  • Contribute to HR projects, new initiatives and the annual remuneration process.

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Previous experience within an HR Advisor or equivalent generalist HR role.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • Experience managing employee relations matters independently.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Experience within financial services, professional services or another regulated environment would be advantageous.
