Summary
Transport Co-ordinator
Location: Dalton, Thirsk
Pay Rate: £13.50 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm
We are currently recruiting for an experienced
Transport Co-ordinator to join a busy operation based in Dalton, Thirsk.
The successful candidate will have previous
transport/
logistics and administrative experience, excellent IT skills, and the confidence to liaise with drivers and support the wider operations team.
The Role
- Using in-house systems and Microsoft Office packages
- Liaising with drivers and supporting inbound and outbound deliveries
- Providing direct administrative support to Operations Managers
- Working to targets and ensuring daily duties are completed within required timescales
- Completing general administrative duties, including filing and maintaining records
- Answering emails and telephone calls
- Providing general office support where required
- Working closely with the wider logistics team to ensure operations run smoothly
- Being comfortable working on your feet and staying busy throughout the day
Requirements
- Excellent IT skills, including experience using Microsoft packages
- Excellent literacy and numeracy skills
- Friendly, polite, and approachable manner
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work to deadlines and targets
- Confident communicating with drivers and colleagues
- Reliable and punctual
- Must be available to work
Previous transport/logistics and administrative experience is essential
Monday to Friday
Own transport is ideal due to the location and working hours
