Summary

Main duties of the job The post holder will provide specialist psychological assessment, formulation and intervention for children, adolescents and families presenting with complex emotional and mental health difficulties. Key responsibilities include: Delivering highly specialist therapeutic interventions to children, young people and families Providing comprehensive assessments and formulation in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team Supporting urgent assessments, parenting interventions and complex specialist cases Working across a broad range of presentations, including anxiety, depression, trauma, attachment difficulties, neurodevelopmental conditions, self-harm and behavioural difficulties Undertaking parent/carer work, psychoeducation, group interventions and brief therapeutic work Providing consultation, advice and expert clinical supervision to colleagues across SET CAMHS Supporting integrated multi-agency working with health, education and social care partners Contributing to audit, service development, clinical governance and outcome monitoring in line with CYP-IAPT principles Supporting the training and development of trainees, students and newly appointed staff The role also includes contributing to the development of a positive, supportive and reflective team culture, ensuring services remain accessible, evidence-based and responsive to the needs of local children, young people and families.
