Summary

Smart Solutions are currently recruiting for a Bailer to join a busy waste and recycling operation in Lanark.

This is a hands-on role responsible for safely operating site baling equipment and ensuring waste and recyclable materials are processed, baled and stored correctly.

Key Responsibilities:

. Safely operate the site baler in line with site procedures and manufacturer . guidance

. Sort and prepare recyclable and waste materials for processing.

. Ensure bales are correctly formed, secured, labelled and stored.

. Carry out routine checks of the baler and associated equipment.

. Monitor equipment and report any faults, damage or issues promptly.

. Keep the working area clean, tidy and free from hazards.

. Follow all health & safety, environmental and waste management procedures

. Wear the required PPE at all times.

. Assist with moving and storing waste and recyclable materials when required.

. Ensure waste is correctly separated and handled according to site requirements.

. Report any health & safety concerns, incidents or near misses.

. Complete relevant paperwork, records and checks accurately.

. Support the wider Waste & Recycling team with other operational duties when required.
