Summary
Love being outdoors? Want to earn while you learn? Looking for a career where you can see the difference you make every day?
At Abri, we're passionate about creating places people are proud to call home, and that starts with the green spaces, gardens, and communities our customers enjoy every day.
We're looking for a Apprentice Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team and begin an exciting career in horticulture and grounds maintenance. Whether you've just finished school, are looking for a practical career path, or simply love working outside, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
This role covers a broad patch across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Surrey, including Reading, Bracknell, Windsor, Ascot, Wokingham, Slough, Camberley, Guildford, High Wycombe, Milton Keynes and surrounding locations.
This isn't a role where you'll be stuck behind a desk. One day you could be helping to transform a community green space, the next learning new skills from experienced colleagues who are passionate about what they do. Every day is a chance to learn, develop and grow.
What can you expect?
You'll join a supportive team who will help you build your skills and confidence while completing your apprenticeship qualification.
As you learn, you'll gain hands-on experience in:
Keeping our communities looking their best
Caring for trees, shrubs, hedges and communal green spaces
Maintaining gardens and outdoor areas across our communities
Working alongside experienced colleagues and learning from the best
Developing valuable skills and knowledge that can lead to a long-term career
Most importantly, you'll be helping to create welcoming places where our customers can enjoy living.
What we're looking for
We're not expecting you to be a gardening expert.
What matters most is your enthusiasm, willingness to learn and positive attitude.
You'll be someone who:
Enjoys working outdoors and being active
Takes pride in doing a good job
Is keen to learn new skills and develop a career
Likes working as part of a team
Wants to make a positive difference in local communities
Why choose Abri?
At Abri, we're more than a housing provider. We're a business that invests in people, supports development and creates opportunities to build rewarding careers.
As an apprentice, you'll gain practical experience, work towards a recognised qualification and receive support every step of the way from a team that genuinely wants you to succeed.
If you're looking for a role where you can learn, grow and make a visible difference every day, we'd love to hear from you.
Start growing your future with Abri today. Apply now and become part of a team that helps communities thrive.
