Summary

SEN Teaching Assistant – Hayes | 1:1 Autism Support | ASAP Start

A welcoming primary school in Hayes is looking for a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a child with autism (ASD).

The role is to start ASAP and is expected to continue until July 2027, offering the opportunity to provide consistent, long-term support throughout the academic year.

Working closely with the class teacher and SEN team, you will help the pupil access learning and participate fully in school life. You’ll provide individual support with communication, engagement and independence, adapt activities where needed and help the child feel settled and confident within the classroom.

This is a hands-on 1:1 Teaching Assistant role requiring patience, consistency and the ability to build a positive and trusting relationship with the child.

Previous experience supporting children with autism, ASD or other Special Educational Needs (SEN) within a primary school or specialist setting would be highly beneficial.
