Summary
This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of the Yorkshire Ambulance Service, providing a comprehensive, high-level, professional and confidential administration service to the Deputy Director of Finance, the Associate Director of Fleet and Estates and senior leaders across the Finance Directorate.
This role offers a unique opportunity to gain insight into how a large NHS organisation operates. You will work closely with senior leaders and partners across the wider health and care system, building valuable experience in stakeholder engagement and service improvement.
We are looking for someone who is highly organised, proactive, professional and confident working in a fast-paced environment. You will also need to be an excellent communicator who should be comfortable working independently but also a team player who can build positive relationships, work collaboratively with colleagues.
The successful candidate will be open to embracing digital ways of working and have experience in using tools such as Microsoft Copilot and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to improve efficiency, streamline administrative processes and support continuous service improvement.
Provide proactive, confidential and high-level support to the Deputy Director of Finance, Associate Director of Fleet and Estates and the senior team across the Finance Directorate.
The role involves managing complex and frequently changing diaries, coordinating senior meetings, preparing agendas and meeting papers, taking high-quality minutes and maintaining action logs to ensure key priorities are delivered. You will act as a central point of contact for a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, handling sensitive information with professionalism and discretion, managing correspondence and supporting effective communication across the directorates. The post also includes preparing reports, presentations and briefing documents, monitoring deadlines and governance requirements, supporting recruitment processes and identifying opportunities to improve administrative processes.
