Summary

Luma Education Recruitment are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join an excellent school in Skegness, Lincolnshire, supporting pupils across the school and helping them make positive progress both academically and personally.

This is an ongoing Teaching Assistant opportunity offering stability, excellent school facilities, free on-site car parking and the potential for the right candidate to secure a longer-term or permanent position.

The school provides a positive, supportive environment and is looking for someone who is patient, proactive and confident supporting pupils with a range of needs, including SEN, SEMH, ASD and ADHD.

Key Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils

Support pupils with SEN, SEMH, ASD and ADHD

Assist teachers with engaging and effective lessons

Help pupils develop academically, socially and emotionally

Support positive behaviour and help maintain a calm classroom environment

Build positive relationships with pupils and encourage their confidence and engagement

Work closely with teachers and other support staff to meet individual pupil needs

Requirements

Previous experience working in a school, education, youth work or childcare setting

Experience supporting pupils with SEN, SEMH or behavioural needs is desirable

A patient, resilient and encouraging approach

Confident managing challenging behaviour in a calm and consistent manner

Flexible and adaptable when working with different pupils and classroom environments

A genuine interest in supporting children's learning and development

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
